
Counseling can be helpful to heal emotional wounds, feel bolstered and supported, and provide a safe outlet for emotional expression. I work with people to challenge their underlying negative thinking, breathe in the positive aspects of life, discover what makes them shine, and live their life to their greatest potential.
Individual and/or family counseling is provided on a short or long term basis, depending on the needs of the client(s). Clients will meet with me for 45-50 minute sessions that may or may not be billable through insurance. Examples of issues addressed in counseling:- depression- anxiety- isolation- social skills- stress & time management- parenting concerns- relationship issues. I use a variety of methods in counseling with an emphasis on mindfulness based practice, Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and EMDR or ABS (Alternating Bilateral Stimulation).
