Caregiving can be rewarding and fulfilling.

It can also be exhausting.

Research shows caregivers are at increased risk for anxiety, depression, physical illness, and financial and relationship issues.

 Counseling can help with:

- feeling understood and supported

- getting access to information and resouces

- navigating the systems

- advocating within the systems

- creating a support network

- practicing self care and reducing stress

Insurance will often pay for counseling.  If not, some community organizations will help with the cost.  It also can be a very worthwhile personal investment.
